NorthFace

This is an ACTIVE event for HIM Club members.
 
Launched in 2007, The North Face Endurance Challenge Series committed to pushing runners to their personal limits of endurance, while promoting the sport of ultra-trail running, a sport which is predicated on enjoying physical activity in nature in a safe and responsible manner. The race benefits the following organizations:
  • The Karno Kids mission is to inspire youth to get outside and become physically active and to restore and preserve the environment for their use and enjoyment. 
  • Leave No Trace is a non-profit organization located in Boulder, Colorado, whose focus is to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research, and partnerships. 
  • The Challenged Athletes Foundation non-profit organization, is a world leader in helping people with physical challenges get involved, and stay involved, in sports. 

 

Shuttle Bus Schedule

Shuttle bus will transport us to Marin Headlands in Sausalito and bring us back to San Francisco.  Board shuttle bus behind Marina Middle School.
 
SATURDAY
  • Shift 2 - Be at Marina Middle School at 9:15 AM  (shift time 10:45 AM - 2 PM)
  • Shift 3 - Be at Marina Middle School at 9:15 AM  (shift time 10:45 AM - 4 PM)

SUNDAY

  • Shift 1 - Be at Marina Middle School at 5:00 AM  (shift time 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM)
  • Shift 2 - Be at Marina Middle School at 6:15 AM  (shift time 7:45 AM - 12:30 PM)

1. Head north on US-101 N

2. Take exit 442 to merge onto Alexander Ave

3. Slight left onto Danes Dr

4. Slight left to stay on Danes Dr

5. Continue straight onto Bunker Rd

6. Continue onto Field Rd

7. Turn left onto Bodsworth Rd

8. Take the 1st left to stay on Bodsworth Rd

9. Turn left onto Simmonds Rd

 

Pre-Race Packet Pickup

Volunteers will assist a member of the event staff with packet distribution to participants of each distance. They will check runner IDs, retrieve corresponding race numbers and timing chips, and gather goody bag items, while answering any questions participants may have.
 

Registration Tent/On-Site Packet Pickup

Volunteers will assist the event staff in handing out bib numbers and timing chips to those runners checking in before each race; distribute race bags and swag to those runners that did not attend packet pickup on Thursday or Friday; or will be responsible for checking runners’ gear on race morning. Volunteers will be assigned one of these jobs on race morning.
 

Festival Area Operation Crews

Volunteers will assist at the Finish Line, working closely with the volunteer coordinator.  They may help at the shuttle reception if we are in need of more volunteers or at the food tent and keeping the area relatively clean.
